Evolution of Human Life

Imagine yourself living around 100,000 years ago when there were no buildings, religions, technology, or even clothes were not there. I am talking about the tribe era, where human beings used to cover their waistline with leaves and there was no routine. In this era, people lived in the jungle and hunted animals for food, and lived their life similar to the way animals are living currently.

What did people do in ancient human life?

Later to the above time, the human-animal started forming groups and tribes, this was a kind of societal culture, in which they felt more comfortable rather than living alone in the jungle and hunting, they lived in a family which would make them feel safe and secure. As the time passed, simultaneously with hunting, the tribal people started cutting wood logs, and with the use of creativity they started building small huts which would protect them from climatic conditions like rain, and storms, moreover save them from chilling cold.

Sooner this group system began to expand, as the number of humans multiplied, so did the number of groups also started increasing. At this stage, human beings started to fix their boundaries and construct a specific area for their tribes. With the emergence of borderline arrangements came the discovery of the wheel. Which were modified into bullock carts and camel carts to travel across different regions.

Birth of Society & People:

Society was now getting organized by establishing norms and rules for their tribe, which were meant to be followed by everyone, and human beings were now ready to be called people. As the evolution continued, people were now designing activities, games, and custom practices that involved physical and mental toughness. With such developments, individuals started getting wounded and injured in physical terrains - like in hunting, woodcutting, traveling, and animal bitings, which gave rise to a profession called healers, who would utilize their entire life to study different injuries and their preventions.

The jungles were now transformed into clans and terrains, where the tribal grandfather was a leader who maintained the law order, and peace in his territory. As years passed, the number of people increased, so to manage the territory, leaders started assigning people several positions including:  Healers - who would take care of health; Scholars - who would focus on intellectual development;  Hunters; Food - Collectors; Farmers and Traders.

One day a tribe leader wanted other groups to follow his wisdom and teachings and also desired to expand his territory. So, to make that reality, he told his tribesmen to follow him and they went ongoing in different areas, teaching people the knowledge they acquired and enforcing their own laws. However, the tribe was once denied by a group of people, who claimed that they won't allow other tribes to have an influence on their families, which made the tribe leader frustrated, so he thought of eliminating the ones, who acted as a barrier, from the world. Because he was determined to make an organized culture where there would be laws according to him and people would follow his orders. Slowly, thousands of tribes were just killed by this king and his fellow men.

Then, other tribes started creating tools that would act as self-defense and focused on physique and muscular development. Every clan followed this strategy of guarding their territory. Within a decade almost every clan had these protecting people who were called armies.

With increasing armies and fighting tools, the number of wars and tribal clashes increased. On the other hand, the leader started to evolve into kings, and king was a synonym of luxury - ornaments, metals, pieces of jewelry, and diamonds were the accessories worn by them to stand different from the crowd.

Ego and Self-esteem started increasing in proportion to the king's behavior, as the clan leaders started tasting - Dominance and Power. The public saw the king as their role model, hence, they were also affected by this newly entered stardom, because most of the time their emotion on the face was anger, jealousy, and envy.

Clans and groups shifted kingdoms and societies. The number of professions multiplied, and people had a new way of life, different from hunting and gathering to farming and earning. However, peasants and merchants were the bridge between food producers and food consumers. And the ones who can't do anything worthwhile would pick labor as their profession, to construct royal mansions for kings and build houses for the public.

Concurrently on Earth:

The tectonic plates of the earth were in the act now, because mountains were slowly forming and the lands combined to form a continent. The barter system was the only currency, which then shifted to coins with kings' names as icons, however, the number of wars and battles didn't reduce, but on the other hand, the air of joy and love has spread in the air - as more number of peace-keepers, poets, artists, and musicians were born. This developed and enhanced  the mental dimension of human beings, as to what capacity our minds can be expressed in the form of songs, paintings, and poems.

The physical and mental dimensions were at their peak for human society as the areas that could be reached with these two dimensions were already familiar to people. Then came a period which our present generation's archeologists record as 13,000 BC to 12,000 BC where the spiritual dimension boomed into the people. Where people realized and experienced that there are terrains that are yet to be explored but cannot be grasped physically or intellectually. "The only out is - in" - were the words by sages of that period.

With Spirituality bursting into the human generation, so did the birth of yogis, sages, monks, and mystics raised. The system was now getting better in terms of well-being. Because people were now getting more aware and self-realized about their limited period on earth, which could either be utilized and invested to reach human potential or could be consumed by living materialistic life.

But with passing time, the insensible and self-proclaimed sages started claiming themselves spiritually and they started governing laws to which their egos and self-esteem boosted, however, these people spread fractional and insufficient knowledge in the environment.

Dawn of Reiligion:

Now by this time, every individual in the world had learn to live with all kinds of people, and religion has entered society. People have worn a new identity of religion. A century later religion entered into every aspect of the daily life of an individual. From what to wear - to - how to live, all was designed by religions.

However, the religions got divided into further smaller religions, because every new generation wanted to improvise and modify the previous one. Simultaneously, the wars and battles never stopped from the tribe era to religion one, but the thing that got changed was - earlier it was to expand the territory and now it was to prove whose religion is better. Moreover, now there were civil wars inside the sub-class of divided religions.

It all continued for centuries because in the monarch system - the king would like to dominate their power, expand their territory, and show off their richness. To perform this, they would allow millions of soldiers to face death in battles and wars.

In the 12th - 9th Century BCE, there was not much difference in the living situation of mediocre people. For centuries there was only one living standard, - do or die and only the best would survive.

Rise of Science:

The flame of awareness is now burning in many individuals' brains, resulting in the birth of science. Before 3000 to 1200 BCE there were no traces of science but it is at this stage of evolution the branches of natural, social, formal -  or - what we define as science started spreading among the people.

Before this period, never on the planet, people have talked about mathematics, astronomy, medicine, and natural philosophy. The research was now a regular term, as the scholars of science were exploring the human body. As per the classification, they analyzed the human body into two halves - Physical and Mental. Moreover, a third criterion in which science entered was astronomy.

Great scientists emerged in Egypt, Greek, and India who taste the very depth of science and touched all its roots, not just exploring but they taught to the people around them about what they have encountered. As has always happened in history, this time also the people combined science with business and profession. A new term - Scientist was given to the profession and other new professions were:

Doctor for connecting business and a field of science called chemistry.

Astronauts for connecting business and a field of science called physics.

Engineers for combining business and all fields of science.

We always look for improvisation, therefore people combined profession and business to live a balanced life. On one hand, science was evolving on the western part of the globe, on the other, the eastern was at the age of enlightenment with spirituality being at its peak.

It was now the beginning of the 18th century and the people were smart enough and strong enough to evolve the life processes, for which they started creating machines with their best knowledge of physics and chemistry. Warehouses and factories were built to produce various required parts, including mechanized textile production, steam power plant, and water power plant. By the end of the 18th century, the industrial revolution emerged in Britain.

French Revolution:

The people in Europe were under monarch rule for centuries and they were treated extremely harshly, as they had no freedom of speech, religion, and press, giving rise to the French revolution. As a result of this revolt, individuals were now in a constituency of democracy and were enjoying their newly gained freedom.

Freedom enables you the option of choice but if not properly optimized it can lead to tough consequences. That's what happened when liberated people went over continents as a joy to explore their emotions and find expressions. But they forgot their foundations as to who they are and what they are capable of. Therefore, they did what they wanted without being aware of the consequences it might have, and English men were one of the many unbound communities.

Industrial Revolution:

Talk about English men, apart from their immature hearts and soul, they had a very sharp intellect and with the use of their smartness, they almost ruled over the entire world. The industrial revolution originated in Britain and as they were all over the world they took their factories and their childish teaching system to the entire earth.

Fight for Independence:

A century later, when the captured nation realized that the English have intentions of ruling and not supporting them, they started opposing and fighting. Slowly the captured states started forming allies and attacked the British, all these giving rise to the world wars in the mid-20th century.

Gradually after the war, the nations started celebrating independence and signed peace treaties, also forming allies to stay safe in the future. However, in this century technology was introduced to the people, whether it was radio, television, phone, or camera - all were discovered in this period.

The 20th Century:

With the invention of television, many new industries started developing, which includes: Cinema industry - Which gave opportunities to the stage actors and directors. Journalism, weather department, sports, singer, concerts, shows - were now all telecasted with TV being available to every people.

Within a few decades, Commercials and businesses put their hand in this technology era.

Companies want more revenue, for that they use various marketing strategies and they started showing ads in between shows and movies on TV, to make their product/service more popular.

However, by the 1990s the people from the west realized that if they chose business as their profession they would have to work less, earn more, and have more social, and financial security as compared to the one who worked as jobs person.

The economy hit the stars when people from America executed their innovative ideas in business, like stockbrokers, software like Google, Hotmail, delivery services like amazon, and also produced many thrilled and ingenious Hollywood movies.

Very smoothly and consistently the western part of the world started becoming a role model for the world. Especially, US & UK were the dominant sides in terms of economy, and popularity.

On January 9, 2007, Steve Jobs launched an Apple iPhone with the best features of the phone, camera, browsing, and dynamic features. With the introduction of 'Smart phones' and television - the media industry takes the most of its advantage by developing apps, telecasting, and serving what people love to see in front of their screen.

With the economy gradually dominating the human mind, the culture shifted from love to lust, peace to a truce, healers to troubles, character to soulless, religion to business, and the worst is village to city.

Social media has influenced our society deeply in the early 21st century. That is the reason you are reading this now.

-

Coming back to present moment,

-

A wise man from the past has said 'Anything too much is not good and in this 21st century we have seen more than enough of technology, social media, Television, Politics, war, economy, business, education, and so on. Mental problems have dramatically increased over the past 100years, because of the fast-paced world and this technology.

Nowadays 4-5yrs of children have to see what's in the world and what is out of space through their mobile screens, and by the time they are 16yrs of age, they are literally bored with their life.

Darkness cannot fade darkness we need light, similarly, we need more Joy and peace in today's world to shift our evolution towards a beautiful and joyful path.

The message that you should realise from the evolution of human life is -

Making friends and spending time with them is a reality than growing some virtual followers on Instagram. Getting recognition from society is more relevant than getting likes on Facebook. Real-life debates bring more solutions than some Twitter trolls. Capturing moments with an eye has a great profound experience of life rather than capturing it on Snapchat. Reading books will enhance your perception compared to digital surfing on browsers.

I understand that social media is for comfort and also has significant benefits, but it is not the whole life, Social platforms are parts of life - not life itself. What it means is, say, for instance, you have a wristwatch and you wear it regularly because you want to stay updated with the time, Now let me ask you a question?

Will, you keep looking at your watch 24/7 at a time?

Of course not, we look at it only when we need to know what time is it. Similarly, social media and technology - are part of our life, and we must use them only when we need entertainment or when we really want to connect with friends who live overseas, otherwise, without the internet, we should be fine.

Therefore, be a little bit more aware of life around, keep that phone/laptop aside for a moment, take a breath of life and exhale slowly. It's life my friend - LIFE.

Thank you so much,

For your time and energy.
